Grand Again is challenging you to do your part to help Grand Lake St. Marys.

Take action by:

Maintaining, and, if necessary, replacing your septic system.
     Eliminates grey water discharges, including phosphorous and other contaminants.

Only allowing rain down your storm drain.
     Reduces phosphorous, sediment and other pollution runoff.

Sampling your soil and fertilizing according to the recommendation.
     Reduces phosphorous runoff.

Tell someone else to do their part.
     Follow up with them to make sure they are doing it!

Cutting your grass high and mulching the clippings.
     Recycles phosphorous.

Don't litter.
     Eliminates trash from moving downstream.

Properly disposing or recycling household hazardous materials.
     Eliminates hazardous waste spills.

Properly disposing of unused medicine.
     Prevents medicines from killing the good bacteria necessary for healthy septic systems, streams and lakes.

Utilizing your rainwater.
     Reduces erosion and use of freshwater.

Maintaining water softener, heating, irrigation and other water related home systems.
     Ensures only clean water is entering watercourses.

Properly disposing of pet manure.
     Reduces phosphorous and nitrogen runoff.
